2 Ajani's Welcome Is A Cheap Boost To Life-Gaining Builds Ajani's Welcome is a one mana white enchantment that nets you a life every time a creature enters the battlefield under your control

It actually ascends to be better than its inspiration since the Tempered Steel effect counts all your other artifact creatures, not just the Gnomes created by this effect

Its even worth stretching your mana for or risking this sitting in hand for a while, but the triple-blue mana cost is intense enough that you do have to do some work to get there

You gain control of Kain until end of turn

Use Marrow-Gnawer's ability to sacrifice one of your rats to make two more 1/1 Rat tokens
